Reprint: R1307A Richard Gelfond knew little about the movie business when he and a partner acquired IMAX, back in 1994. At the time, most IMAX movies were nature documentaries, shown in the theaters...

In a company with 100 employees, 10 will produce half the work. This is Price’s Law: 50% of the work is produced by the square root of the total employee base.

So very true!
Consultants know less than they claim, cost more than they seem to, and prevent companies from developing their own in-house capabilities. When I worked at BCG, for the most part I had no idea wtf I was talking about. https://t.co/Zzwm5KuLlU

Outstanding piece on the crypto business sector. Spot on IMHO. By Rimer, who is the smartest VC I ever met.

I fully buy into this!
University curriculums are somewhat misleading here. Students want classes on "entrepreneurship," so universities offer them. But you'd be much better off taking a class in operating systems or cryptography instead. Or almost any other subject you were genuinely interested in.
