Excited to progress these discussions on the sustainable trade agenda (linking climate, environment and trade) for the Pacific. SPREP looks forward to working with PIFS to see how we can address this integration at the regional level.
Climate change and trade are interlinked, with trade accounting for about 1/4 of global emissions. So we need to talk about how we turn trade into a net positive for climate action. That’s what we did today at #COP30noBrasil, amplifying Pacific voices on the world stage.
