Word from Santa Clara is that plans for the home-and-home series with SLU are unchanged for now and there are still discussions with Acrisure Series folks about the status of the game in Palm Springs.

So, SLU and Santa Clara are officially playing in the Acrisure Series in Palm Springs. It remains to be seen if they will start their home-and-home at Chaifetz this season. Do you like idea of them playing twice or SLU getting a different opponent for the home game?.

The signing of Marcus Smart by the Lakers led to Jordan Goodwin being waived. Smart and Goodwin were both coached in college by Travis Ford, who often compared Goodwin to Smart. And Smart was on hand to see Goodwin play a couple of times. Too bad they won't get to play together.
The Los Angeles Lakers have waived guard Jordan Goodwin, sources tell ESPN. Goodwin emerged as a key rotation piece for JJ Redick late last season, playing 29 games and four playoff contests. Goodwin and Shake Milton were released to clear space for arrival of Marcus Smart.

@studurando I have an idea. Mizzou-SLU play at enterprise center. A talent fee is added to every ticket and concession purchased at the venue. Talent fee % split between both schools , and winning team gets a cut in the players pockets.

SLU is working on getting a couple of D-I opponents for exhibition games, something that will be allowed for the first time this year. But Mizzou won’t be among them after SLU asked and was turned down.

SLU has a home-and-home with Santa Clara contracted to start this season at Chaifetz. However, the status of this year’s game hinges on scheduling in the Acrisure Series, where the teams could face each other. SLU also has added D-III Principia to the schedule.
