“cozy fantasy” is a result of modern dnd, and I think it is interesting in how it updates dnd’s original sin of treating goblins as unthinkingly worth killing with a fantasy of living without conflict. in this sense it mirrors the pivot of a colonial conqueror to liberal society
who milled the flour? who harvested the grain? where did the sweetener come from? who transported the supplies? how were the supplies made? and how are the workers treated? what implicit structures of the world provide the "cozy" fantasy?
