This new probationary firefighter was on the nozzle for this fire in the first 48 hours of being on line. We are proud to serve and protect the City of Stockton, California.

As one of the busiest fire departments (per capita) in the nation, we hope someday to permanently regain a four person engine company. Engine 9 (and others) with new firefighters will have four staffing for the next few weeks until the new ‘probies’ are ‘signed off.’

Engine 9 arrives first due and ready for fire attack. Within 75 seconds of the air brake, an attack line is deployed, charged with water, and advanced into the house. Multiple national studies have shown that a 4 person engine company is *exponentially* faster in operations.

Stockton Firefighters Local 456 is launching our annual Toy Drive! For the past 12 years, we have donated toys and money to needy kids through the @NoChildAbuseSJC. We are accepting new, undamaged, unwrapped toys at every firehouse for the next two weeks. Help us help them!

At 2 a.m., Stockton Firefighters extinguished a 2nd alarm on E. Poplar. This video is from Engine 9, who arrived 1st due. Crews worked quickly to deploy two lines and advancing into the structure. The fire would be extinguished quickly and without injury or incident.
