We started working on this a few years and were able to go in and run it in our kilo lab. Watching the product crystallize was a great day showing we had the tools to develop base metal catalysis directly to our projects #BMSChemistry #ProudToBeBMS.

I see a pattern here. happy to share another story about advancing Base Metal Catalysis on scale! This time, a Ni-Borylation followed by a Pd-Suzuki coupling, Ni and Pd can definitely be friends 😊 Congrats to all the co-authors! #BMSChemistry

One of our initial goals when we first wanted to develop base metals back in 2017 was to develop this kind of telescope. Awesome work by the whole team to see this become reality! #BMSChemistry #ProudToBeBMS

Activation of nickel(II) is often-ignored in nickel(I/III) cross-coupling. For (FI)nickel(II), we show that well defined organometallic steps form nickel(0), enabling catalyst “activation” that recovers catalysis when radical side-reactions go off-course.
