And the data used to assess effectiveness of this trial will be provided by another arm of @NHSDigital, the National Disease Registration Service. Amazing work by my colleagues to evolve our registration service to support this potentially game changing test for early diagnosis

Today is #Lynchsyndrome awareness day, an inherited condition leading to increased risk of several cancer types including colorectal and endometrial amongst others. #NDRS @NHSDigital data shows that ~43% of colorectal cancers received an initial tumour test (IHC/MSI) in 2019 1/2

Comprehensive Lynch detection in the UK involves studying tumours across multiple tissues and skin is of course included! Exciting to talk about work on sebaceous tumours in a double act with the brilliant @Nour_Kibbi from @StanfordMed at the BSDS!

Just now at the BSDS, @derm_scientist presents compelling work on sebaceous tumours (including sebaceous carcinoma), the utility of genetic testing, and availability of genetic testing in the UK. Listen in if wondering about the likelihood of association with Lynch syndrome!

Couldn’t agree more @genetikos, national data collections crucial to support genotype-phenotype correlations on a national scale and in a sustainable way. #NDRS in @NHSDigital tackling this - only possible due to the support of our fantastic genomics community
