Hip-hop is an art form that rewards style and originality yet constantly pays homage to the artists on whose shoulders it stands. We talked to hip-hop figures from various eras and regions. By having artists share what they love about hip-hop and hope they’ll remind you of what

Last year, I spent three days with Frost Giant, who are trying to build the next great RTS — a successor to genre greats like Warcraft and StarCraft. My last story for Launcher, and Launcher's last story. https://t.co/r5q62iFSmj

"Stormgate" may be a real successor to the RTS greats of yore — and the closest thing to a Warcraft and StarCraft sequel in years.

For a decade, humanities enrollment has plummeted. What’s going on? In this week’s @NewYorker, I report at two campuses—ASU and Harvard—and ask “what it might mean to graduate a college generation with less education in the human past” than any before.

The Washington Post's gaming vertical was terrific. The reporters and editors there had really hit their stride. Any outlets that pick them up will be doing a service for their readership.

1/ Not long ago, the @washingtonpost touted a global expansion that prioritized Spanish-language media in order to reach younger, more diverse audiences. Now, WaPo has cut verticals meant to do just that — @elpost & @postopinion_es — without notice to our newsroom or subscribers.

My last cover story at the Washington Post Magazine is a beautiful and vivid essay by Rosalie Metro (@rose_metro) on the unmentionable stage of grief: Relief. A fitting *end* to my time on the magazine and my seven years at the Post. https://t.co/S5uJBCDqI8

The whole issue’s here. I’ve been so inspired by the magazine’s work with new columns, experimental story forms, and longform hits. The staff put in long hours and long nights. It’s a huge loss for the Post.

I’ve worked with the Post Magazine staff on their special issue for months. Surreally, it published at the same time they learned their jobs were eliminated. I’m gutted to lose colleagues who’ve worked hard on journalism with such humanity, depth and creativity.
