Looks like the "£1bn" announced by Rachel Reeves is not new money. In 2023/24 @hmtreasury spent c£580m on building safety. That should rise this year and again in 2025/26 so the statement from the Chancellor is underwhelming. Is this the same old politics @UKLabour?
