“Now, look, I know the kids gonna be a star. I was kinda hoping he’d, you know, warm up to the team building I’m trying to do here.” Ted Lasso in 1x02 - Biscuits
#thelassoway
the fact that minutes before everyone was just blaming jamie for the mistakes in the game and instead of freaking out and accusing them he simply decided to help and show everyone what they really should do
truly the best character development EVER
After Ted Lasso is over and we’ve sat on it for a bit I’m gonna need all the bonus features like you’d get on DVD. I’m talking deleted scenes, blooper reels, behind the scenes/making of, episodes with commentary, etc.
At the Marcus Mumford show tonight my friend yelled “play the Ted Lasso theme!” And then Marcus was like “you know, to answer your question I thought about playing it. But this is all you really need to hear” and then he did the intro and yeah! And was like “skip intro” 😂😭
Let me get this straight, they brought back all those romcom characters just to have Rebecca end up with *checks notes* boat guy who doesn’t have a name and was in one episode halfway through the last season?? Make it make sense
I’m sorry I wanted the comedy show (that’s been called a romcom/fairytale) to have a happy ending where everyone could be together. This isn’t real life, it’s TV and Ted Lasso has always existed in a more optimistic universe.
The way I had every intention of completing these when we got the final shot, but he doesn’t even look genuinely happy so I can’t bring myself to do it!
No, but Ted did seem so ooc/shut down in that ep. Like, he wasn’t as emotional as everyone else. He didn’t want to give a speech before the game. Rebecca opened up to him (twice) and he barely reacted at all.
Hi.
What was the point of showing Ted constantly wanting to hang out with Rebecca and only Rebecca in Amsterdam and his upset over her not responding being the only reason why he drank the tea and left?
It gets me that when Rebecca said “did we?” everyone is able to easily infer the “have sex” part as the end of the question, but when boatguy later says “yes we did” people aren’t able to infer the “have a connection” part and it’s like… just think… for a second… I’m begging
Just remembered Beard and Roy thought it was a good idea to show the team the video of Nate ripping the sign even though Ted cautioned them against it... and now they're in charge
I just rewatched all the ted/rebecca scenes in the ep (cause I like pain I guess) and it was all so romcom coded down to the end with ted being given a way to get off the plane with beard… it’s like they set everything up and just decided not to follow through at the last minute
No but Rebecca Oklahoma-ing ted all casually while his mom was telling stories to the team… like, the level of comfort they have with each other to just immediately open up when they know the other is okay to hear it… okay
Brendan calling back to the “y’all’s baggage just matches right up” line to justify beard and janes toxic relationship, but if you look at ted and Rebecca’s baggage that perfectly matches up it’s social conditioning. I have to laugh!!
My sadness rn isn’t even about tedbecca. Ted going back to Kansas all alone, leaving his entire found family behind was the one thing I didn’t want. Especially after they showed us that he and everyone else, while they had grown a lot, still had room for improvement.
This gif is making me insane. His struggle to just put the drink down. He’s back and forth so many times and here he almost gives in and just takes another sip to let it drown out his feelings before he gets himself to actually put it down and have a tough conversation. Jason I -
Ted & Rebecca having same dad day trauma. Their moms being so similar. Them both having panic attacks. Both going through a divorce and just wanting a happy family. Etc. etc. If they didn’t want people to ship them they shouldn’t have made them literally perfect for each other??
I just want y’all to know I felt a thousand tedbecca truthers shift the planet’s tectonic plates when Rebecca pulled out the green army man attached to the green matchbook
#TedLasso
Tbf to Higgins, it does feel like Ted hasn’t really coached at all since Zava got there, but immediately after he left we got another inspirational speech. He’s back baby!
You ever think about how Jason said the rickshaw guy was there to to take this king and queen off… and how the people on the rickshaw are the stand ins for Jason and Hannah and and
Quick someone tell me where there’s a story about two middle-aged, deeply traumatized people who meet, become friends, help each other heal, and get a second chance at love with someone whom they are deeply connected
I feel like Jason’s hair was shorter than usual and since they’re still filming I’m like “did Ted go to Isaac for a haircut before an important night?” 🤔🤔
My friend hasn’t seen Ted Lasso season 2 yet. But the fake out scene in rainbow just happened and he was like “I knew it!!” I’m just letting him live in this moment
If Ted and Rebecca don’t end up together, yes they did. I’ll choose for them to live happily ever after in the universe I’ve already created for them. They’re safe there.
Also, did Ted not announce at a press conference or anything that he was leaving?? It was just a surprise to everyone. No comment on the outrage surrounding that as I would think the very passionate Richmond fans didn’t want to see him leave either after the successful season
