But for something like a starter template, it’s frustrating. I made Steady Start so you could fork it and go. Now, unless you want it public, you have to jump through extra hoops.

The reasoning behind it:. - They don’t want people hiding public code.- It keeps open-source licenses enforced.- Maintains fork relationships for PRs.

So if you want a private version of a public repo, you have to:. ✅ Clone it manually.✅ Create a new private repo.✅ Push everything there. Not exactly seamless.

GitHub enforces this for “security reasons,” but in practice, it’s more about keeping open-source open. - Public repos → only public forks.- Private repos → only private forks (if the owner allows it).

Finally! @prisma 6.5.0 dropped that risky DB reset prompt—I’ve accidentally nuked databases too many times. Good riddance. No more resets to year 0 B.C. 🌋🦕

Microsoft is building a native #typescript compiler, and the numbers are insane:. ✅ 10x faster tsc.✅ Instant editor responsiveness.✅ Half the memory usage. TypeScript 7 (native) is coming in 2025—this is a huge leap for TypeScript & JavaScript devs! 🔥.

I’ll might never understand why some developers still willingly choose JavaScript over TypeScript—except if you’re just starting out or the initial setup is a hassle. Are they even developers?.

Absolutely fantastic Mac tool for quickly switching between commonly used apps. Press a hotkey, then the corresponding character for a predefined application. Kudos to @mikker! Download on GitHub:

Am I the only one completely lost on which default LLM model to use in ChatGPT? No clue if Mini is enough. I just switch to it when I can’t take the 15-second thinking pauses anymore. Feels like a guessing game. 🤷‍♂️.
