What an incredible person. I had the privilege of meeting Betty and spending some time learning about the National Park Service through her eyes and decades of experience. She was a treasure.
Betty Reid Soskin, the trailblazing National Park Service ranger who became the oldest active ranger until her retirement at age 100, passed away peacefully Sunday morning surrounded by family. She was 104. Thank you for your service, Ranger Betty.
