I still can't believe people give the blanket advice of using uv and not realize how much popular Python libs depend on external packages. One day I will finally learn Nix but in the mean time, no one will take miniforge away from me 🥲.
"solved it entirely". no, uv is not a universal package manager, so it didn't solve it entirely. it's still bad if you want native deps properly and without toolchain specific hacks; only nix does this correctly.
