This question had me thinking for days siudgisudh I don't think there is a short answer to this really, because Optimus remembering everything would be an extremely complicated situation, made more difficult by Megatron being an unbearable asshole to Optimus.

his arc is often described as a "redemption," but i don't think that word really fits. it's not about him being redeemed it's about him repenting, trying to live with his sins, and finding small ways to do good in a universe that will never forget what he did
i don’t get why people get so mad ab megatron being “redeemed” in mtmte. bc he wasn’t. he was never redeemable. he wanted to try but even he knew that nothing he did would ever make up for all of the damage he’s caused. like that was the whole point lol

Fun Fact: Optimus Prime has been castrated; He is a laboring Ox, trained to work. His testicles have been removed to make him docile, focused, and subservient. Megatron is a Breeding Bull; He still has his testicles, as his only purpose is to sire offspring for the herd.

@matricked ( not a klik was wasted before starscream leaned in, finally closing the space between the two mechs after what felt like a stellar cycle. optics dimmed and a servo gently cupped the side of optimus’ helm, mindful of his finials.
