Solar Stormwatch's @ProfChrisScott & @L_A_Barnard have recently co-authored a paper showing how regional impacts of #spaceweather are masking the expected signal of #climatechange in Earth's #ionosphere.
Climate change is predicted to lower the ionosphere. Previous studies have not found a consistent signal. We show that this is because space weather stirs up the atmosphere differently, depending on location. @EGU_AnGeophys
