Program synthesis is intelligence through abstraction exploration which is expensive and risky in time/energy. Neural nets are winning because they can extract and interpolate within the space of known abstractions and be fast/cheap/useful for mid-bell curve day-to-day problems

The agent builder is an interesting product. They will let humans create and run all kinds of workflows and then train an LLM on the JSON files from all the workflow experience to replace the humans. That, right there, is the training set for GPT-6. Rinse and repeat until AGI.

Hot take: OpenAI AgentKit is NOT going to kill agent-builder startups. Tons of agents use a mix of models from different providers. As new models are released, they're swapped in. AgentKit will only support OpenAI models. There's TONS of room for a model-agnostic AgentKit.
