Some more recently completed vacation projects at the Gilbert Lakehouse:. I refinished two Adirondack chairs in a weathered look stain and topped them with polyurethane. Hubs & I built this awesome new fire pit area which contains 4.5 cubic yards of gravel - moved by hand.

Our new (made in Quebec) mattress arrives today so we had to prep the old one for storage. Bought a $60 vacuum compression bag online and it worked pretty well! Took 30 mins (Timelapse is 30 seconds) and we were able to roll up our king mattress and store in the basement.

Update: Hubs ended up having to be in Ottawa until late today. He just got home and he LOVES his new office. He opened the door and the first words out of his mouth were “oh wow!”.
My love language is acts of service. So, while Hubs was in Ottawa for 24 hours, I transformed his office from drab and depressing to light and refreshed. Pic 1: before .Pics 2-4: after

Another recently completed project at the Gilbert Lakehouse: raised gardens for veggies, herbs, and lavender. The currently empty planter will be filled with earth in the fall and I will transplant my many lavender plants into it.
