PsyPost article on our recent paper finding associations between inflammation and depression, anxiety, cognition using non-genetic and genetic analyses in the @LifelinesNL Cohort. Fantastic collaboration with @giollabhui @golam_khandaker Catharina Hartman, and many others!.
New research using data from over 55,000 people has found that low-grade inflammation is associated with symptoms of depression, anxiety, and impaired memory. The results offer evidence that immune system activity may play a causal role in mental health.
