Hi @SugarhouseLeeds , your tenants left piles of rubbish including bleach and knives on our street (now cleaned up by other residents). We'd love to know what you are doing to penalise the people who do this and your strategy for making sure it doesn't keep happening. #headingley

Last week, we had to talk to some magnificent researchers who were working so very hard and tell them their jobs could finish in four weeks. Affecting them & communities with whom they worked. Utterly utterly contemptible @BorisJohnson . You’ve made #UK a global wrecking ball.

🤦🏻‍♂️ UK Government have no idea what they are doing. On one hand they tell us that #Brexit means looking outward. On other they defund IPP, one of the most successful global partnership schemes. #idiots From ⁦@BBCAmos⁩ : Space projects scrubbed

Something remarkable happened @CommonsSTC today. Dominic Cummings said this '“the numbers pencilled in” for UK Research and Innovation were “very generous improvements to its core budgets, not just for this year but throughout the whole spending review period, through to 2025.”

Hello @guardianscience @guardianeco have you seen how many researchers on Global Development Challenges have signed this letter. How is this #globalbritain leading the way with this short-sighted behaviour?

Global crises calls for global thinking. Last week an unprecedented decision was enforced to slash #ODA funding to @UKRI_News projects - threatening funded projects in an unprecedented way. More here: https://t.co/qikJRfgn02 If you agree there is a link to sign our open letter.

We have a new article published in NATURE GEOSCIENCE! ( https://t.co/STuzMOgPHz). Volcanoes can begin to release heat over very large areas before magmatic and phreatic eruptions, what we call "Large-Scale Thermal Unrest".

Nature Geoscience - Large-scale radiant heat flux increased in the years prior to eruptions at five volcanoes, probably due to enhanced underground hydrothermal activity, according to an analysis...
