Keeping this open still but am over at the other place - still as silv24 ( https://t.co/8UIPA6Jb9M) Hoping blue sky is like Twitter was previously. It gave me so much, sad that now there is so much toxicity on here.

This was such an incredibly special moment for me. @maffygirl has become a wonderful friend and to finally meet her in person was truly wonderful!
One of the absolute highlights of #WAMM2025 was @silv24 Nat Silvey who I have become very close to over many years. Proof that online friendships are real we have spent countless hours chatting. Both connecting through @doctorwibble another legend.

Chilly but lovely swim in the sea today with the added bonus of seeing a dolphin in the bay. I really hadn’t realised how much I needed this.

And breathe… A week of annual leave and a time to recharge with my family. I need this more than I can say. Note to self - never let it be months between periods of annual leave again.

I was lucky enough to be at the final in 2022 and it was incredible. Today watching from my sofa, this is just as incredible!!!

As well as working during some of the events you describe I was lucky enough to work with the NHS England EPRR team for a time period and now with my local trust team as a major incident lead. What you and your colleagues deserves this light shone on it.

Oh Meirion Thomas is at it again, he really loves the narrative that female doctors are the woe of the NHS. When will he just give it a rest?!
🧵 Retired surgeon Prof Meirion Thomas' claims that patients struggle to see GPs because “too many women are doctors” are insulting and unfounded. Workforce challenges stem from underfunding and rising demand, not gender.

Day 2 at @GAMCLondon did not disappoint! 😎🎉🙌🏾 A massive thanks to @gunjeet99 @dr_imranahmad for inviting the Northwick crew. 🙏🏾❤️
@GAMCLondon @oldandbaffled @AnaesthetiSingh @sally_ghazali @RopeyP @drchimaoti @noolslucas What a fantastic first day! We loved every minute!! 😎 Excellent programme (so difficult to choose which stream to attend!). Lovely to see so many familiar faces and make new friends. 🙌🏾

Interesting point raised in the session discussion - we aren’t trained as medics to give advice over the phone. This is something I found very challenging when moving to be non-resident oncall. I still much easier to be there in person #GAMC2025

SITREPS regularly are brilliant in communicating quickly and effectively to the whole team in an emergency. Checklists are not cheating. Use them. Debriefs allow us to learn from excellence as well as learn lessons when things good have gone wrong. @doctorwibble #GAMC2025

“What am I missing?” - remember that we may miss things in an emergency situation and asking this or for other opinions is very beneficial to you and most importantly your patient @doctorwibble #GAMC2025

As important now as it ever was - staff groups in the NHS that you may not know about and the vital roles they play….
I tweeted yesterday about clinical engineering and the vital role they play and had a reminder about all the other incredible staff in the NHS that no one ever hears about and so to try and change that NHS Covid unsung heroes list

5 years ago today we were holding a training session at my hospital to prepare us for COVID when I heard my niece had been born. Her birthday is always a very poignant reminder of that time and one day I will tell her all about it and what her Aunty Nat Nat did.

As that woman-hating rat is sentenced to a whole life order, I won't use his name, I won't post anything with his picture. I only want to see the faces of these three women, the victims of pure misogyny and terror, cut off in their prime. Rest in peace Carol, Louise and Hannah.

If all 5,000 donors to @AnaesUnited gave just £20 more, they’d hit their target. Let’s get this over the line. Beyond the BMA/DAUK, it’s seemingly down to individuals to hold the GMC to account. Treat it as a priority debt—clear it on payday. 🎯 Donate:

We are a group of anaesthetists (doctors trained in anaesthesia) that are unhappy with the way the medical establishment is selling patients and the profession short.
