Among other things, I also spoke about a climate change glossary I created for @third_pole two years ago, which was born out of the need to simplify complex terms without diluting meaning. Read our evergreen (and evolving) list of climate-related terms:.

The people most impacted by climate change often don’t hear about it in the languages they speak. In this interview with @CitiesQuestion, I spoke about why climate communication must become more accessible and rooted in local realities. Read here:

In a rare tribute to a dying glacier by @icimod, science converged with faith high in the Himalayas as one of the Hindu Kush Himalaya’s most‑studied glaciers, Yala, slowly disappears due to rising global temperatures. Read my latest for @third_pole:.

The suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty is a critical development for water cooperation in South Asia and it has to be seen as more than retaliation. It’s also about securitising control over water - a resource whose scarcity will be seen as strategic leverage.

When we say climate change is worsening water scarcity, and the burden on women will grow, this video is what we mean. What's striking is that despite walking miles to ensure water availability at home, they’re still seen as untouched by the 'real hardships' of the outside world.
