No way to prove it, but the @accuweather app redesign has strong “AI built this at 2am with no adult supervision” energy. Increasingly common. The bugs have bugs.

@CordasFilip @Aaronontheweb @mikekock Agree that we should avoid naming things using a domain specific language. Personally, I like to follow the excellent advice from this quoted tweet.

When naming things like tables, always future proof If you sell wine, calling a table “wines” will be confusing when expanding to beer “Beverages” will be confusing when you sell ice “Products” confusing when expand to services recommend tables be called “stuff” or “table1”

AI Code booms with @cursor_ai ! 🚀But securing AI-generated code at inception is vital.🔒 Problem? Underlying LLMs. @SnykSec's #AITrust Platform provides #SecureCoding by default. https://t.co/X0yEt7XIsU (@UCBerkeley, @ETHZurich) confirms the need. See Snyk Studio in action!👇

So I decided to solve this once and for all— introducing my new DuckDB extension that generates js with OpenAI and executes it with an embedded v8 runtime, then returns the results back to DuckDB

anyone who says generative AI isn't viable because chatgpt isn't good at coding by itself are missing the point. AI doesn't need to be good at doing anything by itself. It just needs to accelerate human work.

Sometimes it feels like the field of data is in a witness protection program, what with how frequently declares itself dead, changes its identity, and tries to start a new life with a new name and backstory.
