Money talks more than loyalty. I think players more than ever know the NBA is strictly business. Kawhi chose the Clippers as free agent (post Blake) btw.
How the Clippers treated Chris Paul and Blake Griffin is going to age poorly with superstars. Those guys talk to each other and this kind of thing is how you get blacklisted. If you don’t believe me, see how the Knicks’ recruiting efforts have gone under James Dolan.

The Bradley Beal injury makes sense now. Such a prolific scorer not looking like himself. I wish him a speedy recovery. I just wish the Clippers hadn’t put their bets on an injury prone player. It’s something they have been doing since they signed Kawhi.

Relying on a healthy Kawhi was mistake number 1. The Clippers have been running around in circles for the past 5 years. It’s time to move on from this era. The fans are sick of it.
