SO COOL & really highlights the importance of mechanism-focused research & treatment. IMO more focus should be on the PROCESSES underlying *transdiagnostic* clinical presentations and interventions targeting *those same processes.* Need to synchronize research & practice! 🧠

Ever wondered how many symptoms make up all of adult psychopathology described in the DSM-5? It’s 628! How many do you think repeat across multiple diagnoses? If you answered 231 symptoms repeating a total of 1022 times (median 3 times per symptom, range 2-22), good job! 🧵

Of note, kitty concurs that TJ's is overrated. Limitations include inconsistent temperature due to staggered cooking procedures, & lack of double-blind testing due to limited resources & feasibility. Future work should build upon these results to explore generalizability (5/6)

Kraft& Annie’s were a close 1st and 2nd, respectively. Annie’s organic was 3rd. TJ’s trailed behind in 4th, followed by Whole Foods truffle in 5th. TJ's was the most polarizing (does swiss cheese belong in mac ’n cheese? DEBATE); Annie’s was the most consistent crowd-pleaser(4/6)

5 brands were cooked to each proponents’ satisfaction. Some experimenters were shocked by the amount of butter that apparently is called for when you follow box recipes. Texture, flavor, creaminess/cheesiness, and nostalgia/comfort were rated and an overall score computed (3/6)

While mac ’n cheese is a universally beloved treat, opinions differ as to the most desirable brand. We sought to investigate this question with a Very Scientific(™️) taste test (2/6)

I truly wish that we as a field could normalize having a full, rich, vibrant life outside of our careers. Doing things you enjoy shouldn’t be seen as luxurious and indulgent — it is normal.
