A somber day. 80th anniversary of the first nuclear weapon used in war. I continue to be amazed by the strength of the people of Hiroshima. #CranesForOurFuture

Very important. This means the world will have little to no information on what is happening with Iran’s nuclear program and specifically its highly enriched uranium.
Pay attention, this is important. (Also covered this in my @ForeignAffairs piece this morning.).

I spoke with @ErinBurnett @OutFrontCNN about the new DIA damage assessment on the U.S. attack on Iranian nuclear facilities, including Fordow. Military strikes alone won't be able to stop Iran's nuclear program. ⬇️.

You can’t launch an attack on another country and expect no response. Hope this is not going to lead to another protracted war for the U.S. in the Middle East.
BREAKING: Iran has attacked a U.S. base in Qatar, according to a U.S. official and Iranian State TV. @IanPannell has the latest:

Add to this the recent announcement of a third enrichment facility and all of sudden it looks like the military strikes will lead to the exact opposite effect of the stated outcome.
Iran also likely still controls a stockpile of advanced centrifuges that it had built and stored but never installed. Sounds like the makings of a great new covert program. Well done guys.

U.S. joins the attack against Iran’s nuclear program. The inconvenient truth is that you cannot eliminate a nuclear program through military strikes. The knowledge remains and equipment can be rebuilt.
Breaking News: President Trump said that the U.S. had bombed Fordo, Iran’s heavily fortified nuclear facility, as well as two other sites.

Excellent piece from @Rabs_AA on an enduring nuclear agreement that has withstood heightened tensions in South Asia. Thank you for your insights!.

Nuclear resilience cannot be treated as a purely technical issue. It is deeply political. And nowhere is this clearer than in South Asia.
