Why isn't a single western government or campus or student union or city march or celebrity ally protesting about this obliteration of Afghan women, ever, let alone every Saturday?

Don’t want to beat the gender drum but if a nation of men were stripped of their basic human rights I’m pretty sure there’d be a louder chorus of disapproval. We can’t abandon Afghan women. No talking in the street: how the Taliban silenced women like me https://t.co/YSXocZEgrM

It’s alarming that supply issues and policy changes are leading to more people having uncontrolled seizures. Asking people to switch, mix and match meds is no strategy for controlling seizures. SUDEP Action is concerned this will lead to increased epilepsy risks and more deaths.

My heart goes out to all families featured in last night's BBC doc who lost children to SUDC. But @BBCPanorama why oh why when featuring children who died from seizures didn't you mention #SUDEP*? From a SUDEP-bereaved mum who feels let down💔*Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy

This week I discharged a young person with mental health issues home from ITU. The very best help - in fact the only health as NHS MH services weren’t interested - we could give them was offered by a charity: this is NOT RIGHT.

Don’t miss this piece - and definitely don’t miss this terrific new series for @BBCSounds - the idea that exercise ‘steals’ energy from harmful body processes is a revelation … and you don’t have to do that much!

Tomorrow, at 15:45, my short story Mudlarks will be available to hear on BBC Radio 4. Set on the river Thames, Mudlarks is about what it's possible to find, and what we may lose, which is ultimately beyond our control... https://t.co/EJk8khjg8K

Ultra-Processed People is the @thetimes science book of the year. Hard to express how much this means to me - thanks to the hundreds of contributors and collaborators who did the research it is based on, and who continue to demand that real food is made affordable and available.

A national system that helps spot serious illness in children & gives extra weight to parental concern is welcome. But a score alone cant reverse deep cultural issues and biases - which is why #MarthasRule, which puts power in patients hands, is necessary

Daniel, 4, was seen four times in A&E before being diagnosed with sepsis, but it was then too late. His utterly devastated parents spoke to @scottcaroline. Why are hospitals still making these awful mistakes? @SepsisUK @UKSepsisTrust https://t.co/ARZdSM91Lz
