And to clarify, per SOS procedures, the official designation of each national party’s nominees can come later — by August 25. But PRESIDENTIAL ELECTOR nomination docs must be filed by Aug. 9 at 5pm per ARS 16-344, even if the national party committee hasn’t finalized nominees yet.

If anyone's wondering, under ARS 16-344, the new Dem nominees for President & VP will qualify to appear on the general election ballot in AZ so long as the state party chair submits nomination documents for presidential electors to the Secretary of State by August 9, 2024 at 5pm.

Today was a good day for democracy in Arizona 🗳️

Couldn’t be more thrilled about @GovernorHobbs first judicial appointment. Andrew Jacobs is immensely qualified; deeply committed to public service, pro bono work, the rule of law, & improving the judiciary; and, above all, a good human.

And it doesn’t change the fact that these kinds of issues are not lawful grounds to overturn the results of an election. Someone could use some humility, and it’s not the Maricopa County officials.

But that doesn’t change the fact that no voter was denied an opportunity to vote on Election Day. If they chose not to use the available opportunities, eg bc they believed the lies their ballot won’t count if they put it in Bin 3, we can’t really blame the county for that.

This is actually a very bad take from a guy w/ no real experience w/ polling place operations. Maricopa has owned up to the errors, never claimed the election was perfect. No elections are — they are administered by humans.

Today is a good day for democracy, election officials, & voters in Arizona. The court in Brnovich v. Hobbs rejected the AG’s efforts to force his preferred policy changes in the middle of the election year after refusing to work in good faith to approve an updated EPM in 2021.
