The USA is hardly a model for following the laws of war, but I can’t recall a single time, in 20 years of war in Iraq and Afghanistan, that American soldiers were seen on video executing unarmed prisoners with their hands up

Just got off a video call with Mohammed. A surreal moment. He told me he’d seen the video of me rummaging through his bedroom drawers lol. I asked if he’d had any idea about the effort to free him; he said no. He knew literally nothing about what was happening in the outside

I have some incredible news to share. Today, after 9.5 agonizing months, Mohammed Zaher Ibrahim was released from Israel’s Ofer Prison and into his father’s arms. The Israeli military had no right to take him in the first place, and the family credits the relentless grassroots

I don’t understand who these apologies are for and why there’s an expectation for Palestinians to forgive anyone right now. I think these people want white liberals, in place of actual genocide survivors, to say “it’s ok!” so they can continue being grifters in peace. Just weird.

By speaking earlier this week at Tel Aviv University, I made a serious mistake. In the past, when formulating my views about Israel-Palestine, I’ve sought out Palestinian friends and interlocutors and listened carefully to their views. In this case, I did not. I really wanted

After years of destruction and loss, a rare opportunity arises to restore a part of Gaza’s cultural spirit. This project is the first library to be built after the genocide, marking a unique event in the city’s history. This library will not be just a place for books, but a

More than 10 martyrs in Gaza City tonight from multiple Israeli attacks during this “ceasefire.” I saw lifeless toddlers in white shrouds again. This is a disgrace on all of humanity.

Alice used her writing, energy, networks, money, community to channel survival funds to Palestinians, foreground a disability justice embedded in Palestine liberation, and found Crips for eSIMs to keep Palestinians connected to each other and the world. So much to learn from this
