Harking back to what though? Donโt understand the gripe here. What irritates me most about football is pretending things are new, when they already existed in the past. โModern footballโ is a huge exaggeration. (VAR to one sideโฆ)
Iโm among those Dave Bassett sounded out before venting this. He asked โis it just me?โ No! Some undeniable truths, I thought, & urged โgo for it!โ Heโll always love football really & thatโs why heโs spoken out. We need that spontaneous excitement back.

Really happy with this. Had the idea for a Desert Island Discs-ish pod back in summer (original, I know). But think we've landed on a nice formula to look back on those images - real or memory - that sum up people's life as a Blade. Tyrone was a brilliant first guest.
