Currently reading 'Tor!' which is a book about the history of German football. Discovered that Oliver Kahn once played in a penalty shootout against a group of 9 year olds. For every penalty scored by the kids, money was given to a charity. Kahn saved every penalty.
No View From as I'm still too bitter to scan through gloating comments ("oooh I'm Forest. I want to go up and lose every week cos I'm naive and think The Prem will be fun". Grow up) but I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who read, liked and commented on my posts this season
Keep hearing "It's unfair to punish the fans and players of the top 6 due to the actions of the owners"
Wednesday are probably going to go down due to no fault of their players or fans but that's absolutely fine apparently

Brewster was one month old the day Wednesday played their last Premier League game. Today he's stood at the top of Sheffield Town Hall saying they're a bag of shit.

I didn't think I could be more scared when Bogle tried to pass it back to Ramsdale but I'm glad I wasn't listening to 5 live or I think I'd have actually died

Chris Wilder gave me by far the best 4 years I have ever had as a football fan. I was constantly amazed at the levels we reached, the football we played and the experiences I had. No going to lay into anyone. It's not the time for me. Just wanted to make a post thanking Chris UTB
I said I'd take Ramsdale out for the Manchester games as I thought it would damage his confidence even more. I was wrong and Wilder was right. Who'd have thought?
Sorry about the lack of a Pre-Match View from Preston. My dog passed away yesterday so been sitting in my own misery for the last 24 hours. Hopefully be back tonight with a Preston misery filled View From!
George Brinkley, who says he was stamped on by Oli McBurnie, 'thought he was going to die' as the Scot 'stamped on his left leg twice'. A private message has been sent from McBurnie's Instagram account to Brinkley calling him a 'lying little cry baby'. [sun]

We've had worse teams but I can't think of many I've enjoyed watching less. There is nothing about us at all. No Identity, no leaders and no spirit. We have become a really unlikeable side I think. The sort we used to turn over under Warnock and Wilder. Weak.
Been throwing shit at the players lately but that was excellent. Really didn't see it coming at all. Brave decisions from Heckingbottom and it paid off. Let's get to Wembley now,!
Only once in the history of League 1 has a team got to 90 points and not got automatic promotion. Do you know who that was and who pipped them? I'll give you a clue.
Gareth Southgate there, reminding everyone why he got Middlesbrough relegated and why nobody wanted him as England manager until he beat Panama, Tunisia and Sweden in a World Cup
Three extremely poor decisions - three penalties not given - which we simply cannot accept.
We warned the PGMOL that the VAR is a Luton fan before the game but they didn’t change him. Our patience has been tested multiple times.
NFFC will now consider its options.
Sheffield United could kickoff next season with new owners. The club has been in talks with an American businessman and a deal was believed to be close to being completed. Mike Ashley is not thought to have been in the picture. [

14 minutes injury time because the officials took about 7 minutes trying to find a way to send the Fulham keeper off when it obviously wasn't a red. What a pantomime this league is.
Nobody who goes to games wants this shit but paying fans are subjected to it week after week.
I hate it when football fans slag the ref off as it's the easiest thing to do when you've lost but out of all the bad displays we've seen from officials this season that was by far the worst. Really missed being able to boo the useless prick today
#sufc
Probably use my last free hit tonight. Not interested in Burnley fans thinking that was some of revenge when we ruined the game as a contest after 15 minutes. One to write off but very frustrating as we were the better side for the first 15
I advise any Sheffield United fan, in fact any football fan, to listen to
@ColinMurray
and his podcast with Chris Wilder. Murray is a genuinely fucking brilliant interviewer who gets what it means to be a fan. Top stuff
It’s absolutely beautiful how much this is rattling them piggies 🐷🐷 we’re in league 1, them just promoted to the prem & yet we still get more attention than you lot! We can’t all be MASSIVE can we 🙌🏻🦉

@FootballRamble
As a Sheffield United fan I totally agree with this. This is the least I've enjoyed any season and my favourite was probably winning L1 with 100 points. Don't care what league we are in. If we win I'm happy, if we lose I'm not.
Big clubs really hate not hammering us after spending the majority of the game time diving and pretending to be outraged. Imao can't wait for these lot to fuck off to the Super League with other entitled pricks
Small clubs really hate losing to us after spending majority of the game time wasting and pretending to have cramps lmao can’t wait for these lot to fuck back off to the championship where they belong.
A truly unbelievable signing. Obviously stuck around too long but that first season in The Premier League showed just what a great player he was. One of my all time faves
By age 30 you should spend your days working out how Sheffield United are going to get all of Khadra, Ndiaye, Berge, McAtee, Sharp and Brewster in the first 11
Fully expected a comfortable Forest win tonight but that was a superb performance and one that deserves a huge amount of praise. Down to the barest of bones and took a good side all the way. The Premier League didn't fill me with much excitement anyway if I'm being honest!
So this is how
#AVFC
have moved from the drop zone to within a point of the PL summit:
▪️ Clever recruitment
▪️ Extra focus on defending
▪️ Self-policing
▪️ A vocal presence
▪️ Lange for Suso
▪️ Hiring Shakespeare
▪️ The "mystery man" influence
Fantastic signing for Derby and fantastic for us that he won't be playing against us next season. If his injury has cleared up then he's playing a level below what he should be really. All the best Didz

Nice to see the nation are coming round to the fact that

are evil. I have thought this for ages now with absolutely no justification. Madeley would have queued. Madeley would have queued.
That felt quite pivotal. This team looks totally gone. Nobody taking any responsibility and completely out of ideas. Really struggling to see how the players and management turn this form around. Still hope but we are looking like a team with nothing to play for. Baffling
Concerning how often we've seen that sort of display in the last 2 months. Teams sit in, work hard and we have no answer to it. Birmingham, QPR, Coventry, Bristol City and now Rotherham all restricted us to few chances. We need a plan B that isn't "give it to Norwood and hope"
"I mean it's clearly a penalty"
"Yeah but it's our mates last game , we wouldn't want to embarrass him"
"No that's true, let's just embarrass the whole of English officiating instead"
"No pen Jon"
He’ll never take any credit for it but what Steve Cooper has done for

and Nottingham is one of the greatest sporting achievements of modern times.
Cooper in his two years has taken a team on life support looking destined for the third tier to the top half of the Premier…
Wish it had said "As a mark of respect for His Royal Highness The Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh, Sheffield United have decided to not play their remaining games of the season"

The fixture will now kick off later in the day at 8.15pm.

3 players here who have a genuine shout to be included in our greatest ever team. They will all still be spoken about fondly in 50 years time.
Thanks for everything
United can now confirm full details of the retained list that has been submitted to the relevant authorities following the conclusion of the 2022/23 campaign.

Much better than I was expecting. Momentum totally lost when players tired and we only had kids to bring on. Real shame we've lost two games we'd have likely won with last seasons team but lots of positives tonight.
We made a shit signing and it looks like we managed to rectify it quickly. Really can't understand people being upset. The kid had a 6 month purple patch in Sweden and looks ill suited to the English game. Great that we have pretty much got our money back for a failed signing.
Benie Traore will be in France tomorrow to complete a medical ahead of his loan move to Nantes. Nantes will have the option to buy the Ivorian for £3.9m.

You know what, fair play to the young lads in the second half for helping make that a contest. Had at least 4 out there today who we never imagined would play for us this season. Let's hope that is as bad as the injury situation gets and we can restart our season next week
From his wiki
"In July 2018, he broke the Guinness World Record for the fastest time to individually clear a game of Hungry Hungry Hippos, while in Los Angeles on Manchester United's pre-season tour."
That's good enough for me. Sign him
Sheffield United are in talks with former Manchester United centre-back Axel Tuanzebe about signing on a free transfer. Tuanzebe has been in Sheffield for a medical and the deal could be completed quickly.

Feels so much better being a United fan this morning. Still early days but nice to see a team with a genuine plan. Wilder is currently getting an extra 20-30% out of the team and it will be really interesting to see if he can keep it up. Hope the next 2 don't knock confidence
The ignorance of how many fans feel about the current state of the pyramid in England is staggering. The Prem is already a Super League and has destroyed any hopes and dreams 90% of clubs had pre 1992.
Any
@premierleague
club owner feeling emboldened to resume European Super League plotting following the ECJ ruling would be very naive. Fans - and the incoming regulator - won’t have it as it would destroy PL and pyramid. Protests, boycotts, sanctions & vilification would ensue.
This is a phenomenal post from a Wednesday fan. We finished 2nd last season but if Leicester, Southampton and Leeds had been in The Championship we'd have also finished below Luton, Boro and Coventry.
Take a bow son
@JapaneseAcid
Didn't do a great job as an agent seeing as he got us promoted to a league they haven't been in for 25 years and saved us from financial oblivion
@top7664
I know! People from all over the world talking about it and us, they have never been more irrelevant and Sheffield has never been more blue!🦉💙
