Tulisan Jawi ialah warisan berharga, tetapi tempatnya dalam pendidikan dan budaya, bukan dipaksa pada dokumen rasmi. Identiti Melayu-Islam tidak rapuh tanpa simbol ini. Mengaitkan Jawi dengan kewajiban negara hanya menutup kegagalan menangani isu asas rakyat.

Negara Arab pun tidak mewajibkan 'bin', 'ibnu' atau 'binti' dalam ID kerana identiti Islam tak diukur melalui simbol semata. Cadangan meletak Jawi pada MyKad bukan keperluan, sekadar kosmetik politik. Prioriti sebenar ialah keselamatan data & integriti sistem, bukan gimik budaya.
