Most theology is “way up there”…very spiritual, ethereal, and other worldly. The message of Christianity is lowly, earthly, and rooted in this material world. Christ came all the way to us, he didn’t ask us to come up to him, because he knew we couldn’t even if we wanted to.

Being thankful is good…it’s bliblical, but it’s not the gospel. The gospel promises that despite your ingratitude and bad attitude Christ accepts you and is for you and that my friends is something to be thankful for today.
