As the administration continues to degrade human rights for undocumented people, this ensures that the people who are allowed to take this option instead of deportation or incarceration will be unable to escape their “owners” and be forced to work.

Trumps supposed “Owner Responsibility” provision for certain undocumented people to remain in the US to continue working, is not only an acknowledgment that immigration is a necessary for the economy but also a way to yet again institutionalize another form of slavery.

One of the most insidious consequences of online activism is that people will post like revolutionaries and then show up to the fight in real life with a fucking cardboard sign.

The most radicalizing realization is that no one is coming to save us. Let go of the institutionalist propaganda and recognize that we must protect us because no one else will.

People aren’t taking this seriously.

All these viral clips online of ICE kidnappings with people in the comments yelling about fascism but when community members ask for support to defend actual people in the community from state violence in Seattle, only a dozen or so people were willing to show up.

I feel like I live in a different reality than most of the people around me. I don’t know how people go about their lives like everything is fine.

If you don’t see that ICE is a military occupation of US cities you aren’t viewing this from the right perspective. Their budget is larger than the US Maries budget because they are being used to occupy the US in the same way the US military has been used to occupy other nations.

I need people to understand that we don’t have anymore time to wait for other people to act. No one is coming to save us from the military being mobilized against us on our city streets. We need to protect ourselves. The time to resist is right now.

CW: Suicide. In the last month and a half, three people I know have died by suicide. I just learned about another today. I’m not sure how to grieve. It’s too much.
