I can't wait for this!! We've had an extremely strong year with - more meetups than in any previous year, - the largest meetup we've ever had, and - the most members of any Rust meetup in the world! And what better way to celebrate but to cap it off with an unconf!!!
Extremely pumped to announce our first annual Rust NYC Unconf! Dec. 5 in FiDi! Registrations are open! A ๐งต

And the best part? Besides talking about your favorite programming language with hundreds of other practitioners? It's free! And there will be pizza and beer... and so much more!

It is quite feasible to organize an independent tech meetup! I do it! (@rust_nyc) And I'm not particularly good at it. This is my opinionated take on what makes RustNYC as successful, and as long-lasting, as it is: - be in a city with enough engineers - recruiting companies are
this learned helplessness is silly, happy to chat with anyone on finding sponsors for independent tech meetups
