Regional Champ list
Deck was great and has favourable matchups against every deck without a kyogre in it. Remarkable consistency and high power level. Tweeted my list a month ago which was only 3 cards off.

Cobbled together this Gardevoir deck at 10pm Thursday night. Added the switch at 4am. Definitely one of my most hectic tournaments.

13th place Knoxville regionals. Didn’t tie a single game or 1-0 any of my opponents all weekend. Mental fatigue caught me in the last round, played a lot of tight games in day two. Thank you to my round 14 opponent Dean Nezam for honouring our gentlemen’s and giving me a chance.

If you haven’t realized the timer is a part of the competition this is a masterclass.
Kaiwen should’ve realized he had the disadvantage in time and pushed the pace throughout the series.
Drew played to the timer within the rules of the game perfectly.

Apologies to everyone for holding up the first round at Toronto regionals. All of my opponents Holon phantom energies were warped and I could identify all of them in his hand/deck/discard. TLDR; no penalty was issued and it was very relevant to our game. Explanation in comments.

I believe the best way to play Pokémon is to capitalize on situations that are in your control, and accept situations that are not. I’m extremely proud of myself for my play this weekend. Thank you to all my friends who supported me this weekend, you mean the world to me.

How is this stacking? Yes that first shuffle looks bad with him re mashing, but afterwards the top cards shifts every shuffle followed by some pretty clean looking mash/hindus.

40th place, a disappointing finish after a 10-2-1 start. Played against some truly skilled players this weekend and went 4-2-1 against lost zone decks. Made one mistake in round round 14 which costed me dearly. Special thanks to those who supported me with food/medicine/water.

My opponent was a very nice person and I suspect no ill intent, however it was extremely frustrating to me that Lucas Xing received a game loss for 2 warped Baxcaliburs in Pittsburgh, and my opponent received a warning for 9 marked energies. How is this equitable?

I think this is only true in high level matches where your opponent is able to make accurate inferences about your hand/deck/prizes based on your plays. In 90% of games there is just a correct move that maximizes your win %.

Context: Pokémon worlds competitors had to wait in line with thousands of spectators, wrapping around the building outside in order to check in and go to the Pokémon centre. Some players waited 4+ hours and were completely unable to go to the Pokémon centre.
