1. Can’t even believe I’m writing this but I’m really disappointed in some of my opponents this weekend in Peoria. In my entire career of playing, never have I experienced this much blatant cheating against me and super shady play in the rounds. Really disappointed to see that

Important to note for Toronto:
1. For those staying downtown, you can take the streetcar from Union Station for 15 minutes on the 509 route to the venue OR take the Go train to exhibition station and walk 1 minute. Would personally recommend this one since it’s the easiest.

When I first started playing in 2011 era as a senior, Sami Sekkoum and Jay Hornung were my two favourite players at the time and I really looked up to them for years until they both stopped playing. Really cool being able to see Sami on stream at EUIC all these years later.

3. stuff back or re do their action, even in major events but this was just something else. People trying to switch cards from their deck to their hand, trying to evolve their Pokémon after they benched them, or even manipulating damage that was incorrect in their favour, and

4. double supportoring. Normally this could be considered sloppy but every time something happened, they would wait for a reaction from me and pause before continuing to see if I noticed. While most situations were addressed calmly, some were definitely hostile.

OCIC flights from Canada very affordable right now. 1500 CAD (1180ish USD) however 26 hours of flying is a nightmare

Huge facts. Some huge names from back in the day emerged and so many friendly faces from over the years.
One of the coolest things about this weekend, beyond the innovation and the meta, was how many old players came back for this event. I spoke to so many people who haven’t played in 5-10 years and this was their first event since then.

3. Best food in the city is Jamaican and Sushi/Korean BBQ. Avoid Mexican food if possible. Canadian McDonalds > US McDonald’s in terms of food quality. Drakes restaurant is 3 minute walk from Union Station.

This is wild but not surprising at all. There’s a reason why many high stake pros went away from private cash games into tournament’s or strictly playing casino. It’s a solo card game, there are no “friends” in game running. These fake game politics will always burn you longterm.
Just found out that someone who I thought was a close friend of mine cheated me out of $1m in a series of poker games. Very hurt and upset for obvious reasons, more details soon.

2. The TTC street car doesn’t accept e-payment, only coins or a rail card. The go train however is only about $3.50 CAD to exhibition station and tickets can be purchased at the kiosk machines with debit/credit cards.

4. Take the subway if you can to get around exploring. Usually way too much traffic above ground while subway can get you basically everywhere pretty fast. Go trains and subways stop running at around 2 am. Eaton Center mall is best place to buy or shop downtown.

1. I think Pokémon needs to start making accounts or incident reports when these major decisions are held for the judges and see if any repetitive patterns occur to determine if that judge is being too harsh or power tripping. Sort of when someone at work gets hurt, the manager

2/3 counts of bicycle. This gave me implied odds that if he had to Skyla for research, that buys me 3 turns to draw any supporter off 1 card, with also 4 of his supporter outs being N giving me a fresh hand. That gives me more equity in my play as 4 of his outs give me cards

Games are usually draw out so if you lose game 1 to a bad start, you’re really struggling to win game 2 and 3 in the time span. Some very good matchups, but some very poor matchups like Mew and Zoroark. Going second also feels like uphill battle especially not starting Arceus&DTE

Hawlucha was surprisingly good in a lot of matchups besides mirror and won me a lot of sets with perfect math. 3 different stadiums, no pal pad, 1 forest, 3 rope, no klara.

2. Has to fill out papers and send it in. It’s been known previously for judges to abuse their power or be biased in some instances from many years before and all major incidents to be investigated. The DQ for you at LAIC and Diego at NAIC was definitely too harsh and it’s sad.
