“Nobody called LLMs” totally misunderstands how AI development happens. LLMs didn’t spontaneously appear for no reason. I knew they would work, I demonstrated them working in 2017, and I said at that time I think they’ll be a big deal.

Nobody called LLMs, as far as I know. One guy at OpenAI built GPT-1 while the others were working on deep RL, OpenAI Gym and such. Technology in general and AI in particular is not that predictable! People thought at one point that defeating human grandmasters at chess would

I connected an #EEG headset to explore the usefulness of Singular Spectrum Analysis. I generated noise by moving my head while taking a recording from behind my left ear. What's interesting to me is how when I move my face it doesn't affect the decomposition of the other streams.
