TV over the internet is really no different than TV over satellite or TV over cable. They will all go through these types of pissing wars. At the end of the day it will all eventually cost the same. Just have to pick who has the best package for you.😎

Told myself when I graduated college that I was giving myself until I turned 30 to chase the broadcasting dream. Today, I’m calling a football game for @ESPN on my 30th birthday. Can’t wait to keep chasing the dream for my next 30 years (and beyond)!

Nearly 20 million viewers at peak. Incredible. Big non-conference, season-opening games are good for the sport.

Netflix has reached a deal to stream the 2026 World Baseball Classic in Japan. The agreement covers all 47 WBC games and marks the first live event Netflix has streamed to Japanese audiences.

I would think that the weekday games on ESPN would be Wednesday “getaway days” when most games are day games. Two of those daytime games would be switched to primetime for ESPN. One as main game and one game as a backup in case of rain.

If reports so far are true…which I would like to see more confirmation…ESPN is not buying MLB Network. They are buying https://t.co/FhmiOZYrKw which is the streaming package to watch mlb games outside your home territory. Similar to what they did with NHL a couple of years

Fox is only going to be in on a ESPN CFB Red Zone if they get a piece. NFL will have a stake of RZ offshoots and Fox will want to be tied to NFL equity wise just as ESPN is. CBS and NBC as well. Be shocked if anything happens before 2027 at earliest. Messy deal… but not
Fox Sports is unlikely to license its Big Ten or Big 12 games to ESPN for a potential college football RedZone, sources tell FOS. Fox would need significant ownership in the venture to be willing to participate, a source said.
