Pretty good opinion to take on this one folks. Beyond that, I find this interesting due to what it potentially means for OSU and WSU.
Schools sue to have exit fees reduced when they leave. Only time they don't is if there are no exit fees. They then agree to them at their new home. Normally settle at +/- $.55 on the dollar! This has been going on forever. Not sure I see the hypocrisy if they all do it.

My brain is broken over the recruiting this program is achieving while at the same time people think this team shouldn't be given the chance to compete in FBS.
July 4th Boom!. BREAKING: Four-Star WR Xavier McDonald has Committed to Sac State. The 6’2 160 WR from Morton, MS chose the Hornets over Ole Miss, LSU, & UNC. He becomes the highest-ranked recruit in program history 👀

I bet that was one hell of a pill to swallow for him.
Updated story here on the Clemson-ACC settlement, including some thoughts from @mckenzielaw, who says this agreement essentially does away with the ACC grant of rights and "converts ACC membership from a binding obligation to an annual economic decision"

Alright, so here it is folks. Want to know how much its going to cost to get out of the ACC? This is it. The only A4 conference that has a departure settlement ready to go.
New: Received the final settlement (with a few redactions) that Clemson, FSU and the ACC agreed on in exchange for dropping their dueling lawsuits earlier this year via FOIA. This chart is now included in the ACC bylaws, laying out the ACC's year-by-year exit fee:

the Jersey Patch chatter seems to be building now, two days into the New Age of college sports. I could be wrong but I wouldnt expect this vote to go through until after the Governance vote does. I think this will be an issue the A4 pushes.
Spoke with Clemson Ventures CEO Michael Drake on this topic. He said Clemson is "open for business" on jersey patches, though they haven't gone deep into talks with sponsors. NCAA hasn't approved yet. Not sure many schools will pass on this revenue source when it's approved.

Warned that the new jerseys last season all looked like they had spaces prepared for advertisement patches. Here it comes.

Little bit of smoke starting to come out of UVA? Need some action behind these words but their President just resigned. Got to keep an eye on Virginia now.

This is remarkable. These numbers might cause some plans to change in regards to how D1 is set up in the future.
A total of 319 NCAA DI schools chose to opt into the House settlement for the 2025-26 academic year, sources tell @YahooSports. That's 82% of DI. The deadline to opt in for this year was Monday. Going forward, schools must decide by March if they are opting in for the next year.
