Imagine class of 30 kids about to go into an exam hall for their test on An Inspector Calls. They’re nervous, but have been taught well and are mostly prepared. Now imagine that for 5 of these pupils, their parents arrive. They’d like to sit next to them for the exam.

Snap Survey was a tool we developed that helped tutors and pupils find out what they had in common, helping to improve their relationship. In an RCT with 9k pupils, we found that using this activity boosted attendance by 4 percentage points.
