Hell of a result here! And pretty huge for the NT Greens to win their first MP and the mayoralty of Alice within 12 months. I was expecting Hill to be chased down on prefs given she only had a 199 vote primary lead, but prefs ended up flowing fairly evenly between her and Melky.

Case in point for why net approval for new (especially little-known) leaders is pretty much meaningless. Suspect the 6% net approval of Ted O’Brien isn’t too far behind the percentage of people that have even heard of Ted O’Brien.
