Von der Leyen is geland in Zuid-Amerika en lijkt van plan de Mercosur-deal te tekenen. Opvallend hoe weinig deining dat veroorzaakt in Nederland, waar drie van de vier coalitiepartijen (PVV, NSC en BBB) tegen het verdrag zijn. Kabinet spreekt zich openlijk niet uit.
