The case for making peas a declared food allergen is compelling given the now ubiquitous use of pea protein in foods. @FSAIinfo.
Pea allergy is a growing issue. Main problem are the number of foods that are now being made with pea protein. Why do you need pea protein in a bun?!. Interesting article in the Guardian from a consumer with a pea allergy that really highlights this issue.
