At this empty home in Dublin, several homeless people were living in tents in the gardens outside. The house, once empty is once again a home and those living in tents are now living in the property as we are coming up to a cold and rainy weekend.

In 2018, KBC Bank hired Loyalist mercenaries to evict a family from their home in Roscommon, assaulting a man as the Gardaí watched. Today, three men who rightfully kicked those mercenaries out of that home in 2018 were each given 15 year sentences by the courts.

This space should be in the hands of the community and not an absentee English lord or a private profiteer. While vested interests fight over the ownership of a public space, the RWUC have liberated it, will now make it safe for use and hold it for the local community.

The entire street outside has been closed off. This sort of massive Garda operation to prevent empty buildings being used is an utter disgrace and a great example of how this state values property over the people of Ireland.

The eviction in Strokestown, Roscommon shocked the people of Ireland, with the Gardaí yet again facilitating a violent eviction carried out by paid thugs. Only when there was retaliation against those thugs did the state act, in the interests of the banks.

Nadim and Mohammed from Abolish Direct Provision in Cork are visiting Anne Devlin Park to show their support for the camp and the RHL’s campaign. They have been in Direct Provision for eight years, living like prisoners. Nadim recently went on hunger strike in protest.

A homeless couple, one of whom is four months' pregnant, has just moved into Ionad Seán Heuston. They have been on a housing list for 13 years and have been rough sleeping on the streets. They're delighted to finally have a safe, warm place to rest easy.
