In a typical month, the 50 retailers examined appear to generate an average of ≈ 1.3 bn emails / day. During the holiday peak that baseline jumped, reaching ≈ 2.55bn emails per day. That's enough to fill the inboxes of every adult in the USA roughly 10 times. 5/7
