Cerner's #AWS breadth of use is what every cloud provider wants. Most customers are IaaS layer focused but slowly growing in PaaS use, which more deeply ties apps to the cloud platform. Apps are landing and not moving, hence the land grab orientation of public cloud. #reInvent

Lots of compelling #reInvent news on #Redshift improvements but AQUA query accelerator stands out as both a huge performance improvement and a demonstration by @AWScloud that it can use its IaaS layer / S3 ownership to advantage its data warehouse over DW ISVs w/SaaS on #AWS

The S3 Access Points feature announcement was a quick hit in a long roster but is one of the most widely applicable announcements of all of #reInvent because everyone needs to be better locking down their shared data in S3 -- now easy to do per VPC / dev environment

$GS CEO David Solomon told their cloud story, including "we work with multiple cloud providers but AWS was the first". You'll see @AWScloud change this year in acknowledging widespread #multicloud use - where #AWS positions as obvious dominant (70%+ of spend) provider. #reInvent
