So the jig is up I must reveal my secrets . I did nothing. No salinity pixie dust. No shaping. No ripping. Sometimes things work out I suppose.There’s other areas that can use help from water management or perennial grass but this one has come around on its own.

This area around this slough was nothing but barely even kochia foxtail and salinity five years ago. Look at the lentils growing here this year.

Due to the increased risk when a lentil crop fills in like this and rising cost of Rolaids I award canola a technical point here. Score is now 2-1 lentils at the end of the second period.

Cool weather has canola hanging on and looking like hero or zero time for the lentils. Second app of fungicide in the lentils to prevent possible mould issues with the wet canopy and cooler temperatures. Photo credit to the kochia control mission I was on today
