I’m increasingly convinced that the willingness to change your mind is the ultimate sign of intelligence. The most impressive people I know change their minds often in response to new information. It’s like a software update. The goal isn't to be right. It's to find the truth.

just wanted to take a moment to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who's still supporting Ukraine in any way. over the years, the war and the people have changed in many ways, and in the midst of all the busyness of life, especially if you're geographically

i believe in highly-curated communities/networks, and think some products will have massive success with this model. with increasing numbers of bots and spam in online networks, paying for verifiably 'human-only' networks will become the norm for many.

it'd be fun to see onchain public commitments from founders and team members towards the community. think core teams committing to 'shipping {x} goals by {y} date with {$} stake' where x - critical deliverables from their public roadmap y - promised timeline from the team with

being a solo founder is brutal, but sometimes it's the best way forward. after a year+ of building Commit and being open to having a cofounder, i haven't found any person that a) cares about programmable commitments as deeply as i do, and b) would commit for a decade+. thanks
For the first time in history, over 1 in 3 startups were started solo this year. Introducing The State of Solo Founding: exclusive data from Carta + commentary from top founders and investors. https://t.co/QG2seoE9LQ Solo founders seem odd today. Soon they'll be the default.

public sale of Aztec just went live - excited to support even with a small amount. one of the teams with a truly critical mission, pushing the boundaries of what's possible.
The $AZTEC token sale is live. An onchain, community-owned sale where you set the terms. No airdrops. No mysterious allocations. https://t.co/wlRDDzJvU6

if you’re truly community-first, why do you raise from the community last? i have massive respect for teams publicly raising at the same or lower terms than their private rounds - and even more so for teams prioritizing the community round first. there’re so many flexible,

on this note, i have high hopes for @aztecnetwork and respect their work. building network effects for privacy-first chain from scratch is brutal, but if they succeed, we could all experience something magical.

if we truly care about privacy, why do we keep building (only) on public blockchains? it just doesn’t feel right. i’ve been asking myself this for the past couple of weeks. nothing will change until we - as builders/creators, users, and traders - start building and adopting

100% day 1 unlocks make sense for most of the public raises, BUT not for insider allocations. if anything, vesting and cliffs in crypto should be longer, not shorter, for core contributors and (if any) investors. startups have to be aligned-long term, not the other way around.
FWIW I’ve been advocating for 100% day 1 unlock for years with port cos Only way to get true price discovery The team that came closest to doing this was… Solana! One massive cliff at month 9

imagine smart contract auditors committing $$$ as a programmable commitment to the quality of their audits. the same principle applies to literally any valuable on/offchain service providers. commitment markets.
