After much deliberation, I have decided that I need to remove myself from X. There is undoubtedly good and wholesome content on this platform, yet this is hidden under the weight of pernicious and divisive rhetoric which serves only to deepen divides. I need to free my mind!

This promises to be a wonderful evening with the talented voices of the Phoenix Consort. The consort was founded by Adam Whitmore, a finalist student of @StChadsDurham
Coming up on Saturday 25 May at @StChadsDurham chapel, the award-winning Phoenix Consort give a free concert of unaccompanied vocal music, ranging from the renaissance to the present day.

Thank you Naomi for pointing this out. I agree that much better should be expected from @durham_uni and the @durhamalumni team. Protecting freedom of expression is central to the work of a University but celebrating acts that are clearly causing serious harm is quite another.
Sad to see TERF propaganda being celebrated by @durhamalumni in their newsletter. I would like to be able to expect better from @durham_uni. Benefit of the doubt says poor proof reading of submitted content but still disappointing.

My thoughts today are with the family of PC Keith Palmer GM, killed 7 years ago today in the line of duty, defending parliament from attack. Giving thanks for him and for all those who risk themselves to protect others.
