Rather than seeing the market diversify with AI solutions, we might witness a natural filtering process where companies that make evaluation straightforward for their customers emerge as leaders, while others struggle to build trust in this "buyer beware" environment.

Because customers and enterprises now bear more responsibility for due diligence, they'll likely gravitate toward solutions with clear evidence of safety and reliability (think peer-reviewed research, third-party validations, and partnerships with recognised safety institutes).

I've spent the last few years founding and growing a healthcare AI company, and even on that timescale, it’s clear that AI has moved from 'innovation' to becoming a budgeted necessity within healthcare systems.

Machine learning, deep learning, and other core AI technologies have been around for a while, but now, in 2024, we’re witnessing practical, material transformation across sectors - finance, education, manufacturing, and especially healthcare.

The 2024 Nobel Prizes in Physics and Chemistry were just awarded for AI-centred projects, signalling yet another shift in the level to which #AI is being embraced today. This is no longer just an idea or buzzword thrown around at conferences.

A fun and surreal moment in my founder journey yesterday - I made my #Netflix debut on @BillGates new series "What's Next?" I stumbled upon it by chance as a regular Netflix viewer, which made the experience even more memorable. (I will be setting up my #IMDb page immediately).

🔑 Adoption is key. The government should aim to incentivise AI adoption across sectors. Safety must be prioritised, but we cannot forget that progress requires courage. Large-scale AI adoption will drive efficiencies, raise GDP, and stimulate substantial economic growth.

🤖 The UK’s AI talent is unmatched. This is our secret weapon in becoming a global AI leader (I can personally vouch for the quality at UCL and Cambridge, but I’m told Oxford isn’t bad).

🏥 The #NHS is special. Contrary to popular belief, the NHS is one of the most innovative healthcare systems in the world, driven by passionate individuals committed to patient outcomes—don’t underestimate its potential.
